Kale chips

Kale crisps


  • 200g kale, washed and dried
  • 1-2 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • Sea salt
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp brown sugar

Serves 3-4 as a snack


  1. Preheat the oven to 140˚C / 120˚C fan / Gas 1.
  2. Cut away the inner ribs of the kale leaves and tear into similar size pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the leaves with the oil, paprika and sugar and spread out over two baking trays.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, then turn the leaves and bake for a further 10-15 minutes until crisp. Do not let the leaves brown too much as they will become bitter.
