- Preheat the oven to 180˚C / 160˚C fan / Gas 4 and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Toss the bread with the oil and garlic, if using, along with a few pinches of sea salt.
- Spread the croutons on the baking tray and bake for 15 minutes until beginning to brown.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool before storing in an airtight container.
